The longstanding Park Hotel sits facing the water in the heart of downtown; a break wall and pedestrian promenade front the hotel. The exterior has been repainted from a gaudy pink to a mellow yellow, and let’s hope it stays that way. Rooms are nothing to write home about, but spotless and blessed with a/c and small, outdated TVs. A popular restaurant here serves local Caribbean fare, Tico standards, and some Chinese dishes, perfectly reflecting the cultural mix of Limón.
