Hotel Murrieta

The Murrieta probably won’t win your heart with its nondescript, boxy international style, but it is regularly renovated (most recently in 2014) to keep the soft goods fresh and the wall paint pristine. The rooms are moderately sized and include a good work desk and a decent Wi-Fi signal. The bathrooms are tiled in marble and the housekeeping is friendly and impeccable. The Camino de Santiago goes right past the front door, as the brass inlays of scallop shells indicate, but the location is in the midst of the modern business center, a block north of the Gran Vía.
