Although it’s one of those town house B&Bs that recently flipped from family ownership to outside management, meaning hospitality is more procedural than from the heart, the switch did some good. Small rooms are nicely updated with outlet panels above desks, cool grey and black custom headboards with lamps, nice toiletries, free non-alcoholic minibars, and enough new glass and mirrors to imply panache. For all that, and its location, the price isn’t bad. Breakfast is £10 unless you buy it as a package, and managers will beat the rate offered by outside booking agencies.
