Launch pad for a thousand indie bands, some that actually ended up soaring (Coldplay, Blur, and the like), The Camden Assembly is a dark, intimate bar/performance space with a good mix of students, musicians, and old-time locals. Beware the sometimes overzealous moshers. When the bands wrap up, a house DJ spins for a few more hours while the audience chills.
