Family Friendly Restaurants in London
London's restaurants are becoming ever more family friendly, and many these days pull up highchairs as soon as you arrive. However, if you're eating out with children, take with you any entertainment you may need (coloring books or games). Many establishments provide children's menus; otherwise you can try asking for a simple pasta or chicken dish -- and if you have two or more little companions, pretty much anywhere will allow them to share adult-size main dishes. If you're going in the evening, go early when restaurants are less rushed and the noise level is reasonable.
Below are some restaurants that cater very well for children. Others we recommend for family eating include Locanda Locatelli; Bumpkin; The Orange; and Caffe Caldesi. London's art gallery eateries are also well set up for families, and children usually enjoy a trip to a London "chippy" for authentic fish and chips.
