Paperchase does for stationery what Habitat does for chairs and tables: imbues them with infectious style, bold colors, and wit. Its journal selection is incomparable. Starting in summer, stock up on holiday cards, not only because they’re much cheaper in the U.K. than abroad, but also because some proceeds go to charity (but be aware that the non-standard envelope sizes may require extra postage back home). There are many so-so branches, but this three-floor flagship is a big paper cut above. There’s even a cafe.
