Parmer’s Resort

As mom and pop as the Keys gets these days, Parmer’s, a fixture since the ‘70s, is known for its warm hospitality and helpful staff. This resort is spread out over five acres of waterfront with an impressive 90-feet of beach and offers modest, no frills, but comfortable cottages. Some are waterfront, many have kitchenettes, and others are just a bedroom. The Wahoo room (no. 26), a one-bedroom efficiency, is especially nice, with a small sitting area that faces the water. All units are very clean, though housekeeping is only by request at least 24 hours in advance. The well-maintained property also has bocce ball, a 4-hole putting green, and heated pool. There are also kayaks and paddleboards included in the resort fee (2-hour time limit). A daily continental breakfast buffet is included in the rate. Parmer’s is within walking distance of Kiki’s Sandbar Bar & Grille, which is a fun spot for live music, views, drinks and food. The hotel’s waterfront location, not to mention the fact that it’s only a half-hour from Key West, are huge bonuses.
