Everything is done to a T here, from the period furnishings, which perfectly complement the richly hued walls, to the feasts that start the day, to such lovely extras as hydrotherapy tubs in some rooms and a wraparound porch filled with colorful chaises. And you can feel righteous about staying here because at this eco-friendly B&B, everything’s organic, from the wild blueberry jam and biscuits the owners make themselves to the linens and bedding, and recycling bins are in every room. The house is set on a hill in a quiet residential neighborhood, about a 10-minute walk from downtown. If you get a chance to meet the housekeeper, Valerie, ask her to make a bespoke sketch of your pet.
