On the road to El Yunque rainforest, this al fresco restaurant, set beside a river, serves creative takes on Puerto Rican food. What more could you want? Buckets of Medalla beer are served at the table and service is friendly. My favorites on the menu are the tamarind ribs, turkey in cilantro cream sauce, and the mahi mahi surf and turf are all good. If you don’t want a full meal, it’s a great stop after a hike in the rain forest for some cold beer and snacks, like mini yucca mofonguitos and grilled sausages. There’s live jazz on Saturdays from late afternoon.
