Inhala Terraza
The rooftop restaurant at the rather ugly former Hotel Santo Domingo, now renamed Inhala, has several advantages. From its perch near the top of Gran Vía there are incredible 360-degree views of the city and the mountains, and because part of terrace has a glass roof you can enjoy it all year round. As for what to order: the Japanese influenced seafood starters to share are more successful than the entrees, which veer toward international burger and fries. Going à la carte gets pricey, but the short tasting menu, and a lunchtime set menu available Monday to Friday, represent excellent value given the breathtaking setting. Inhala means “breathe in!”
