Originally built as the headquarters and shooting locations for ‘90s American films like “The Quest” and “Air American,” you can’t miss the angular spire of the oversized Thai Yai-style peaked roofs marking the entrance to this compound.  After filming, it was reborn as a simple hotel. What décor there is is a mixture of Burmese, hill tribe, and Thai elements; the guest rooms are arranged in two stories around lush gardens. For those who decide to upgrade, there are mountain-view superior rooms and a suite with a private balcony.
