Palacio Solecio

The restrained exterior of this 18th-century palace of a merchant prince barely hints at the hotel’s luxurious decor. Two original patios and other architectural features echo the glamour of days past, but the contemporary furnishings harmonize with all that brick, marble, and wrought iron to create what we can only call a soft monumentality. The basic doubles are small but do not sacrifice any of the fine details and luxe finishes that make the hotel a hidden retreat in the heart of the old city. (The Picasso Museum is literally around the corner.) Upgraded room categories essentially give you more space to sprawl.
