Just a short walk on a raised walkway through shady trees to Playa Espadilla, this two-story hotel has a to-die-for location, and remains the best budget beachfront hotel in Manuel Antonio. The rooms are all a good size; most come with a kitchenette; and although the flowery linens and some of the furnishings could use an update, all is kept clean. They’re also prettier than they need to be, with pale yellow or green walls, and hand-carved wooden doors with local animal and nature scenes. Given that there’s a small free-form pool and overall the staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel provides solid value.
