Planning a trip to Maria Worth

Getting There -- To reach Maria Wörth, take the train to either Velden or Klagenfurt, and then board one of the dozens of buses that depart throughout the day for Maria Wörth (trip time: 25-45 min.). For rail information, contact tel. 05/1717 (www.oebb.at). For bus information, call tel. 0463/54340 in Klagenfurt. If you're driving from Klagenfurt, head south on Route 91 and take the first exit marked MARIA WÖRTH. Follow an unclassified road running along the southern tier of the lake. The drive takes about 15 to 20 minutes.

Visitor Information -- The tourist office in the town center (tel. 04273/2240) is open Monday to Friday 8am to 12:30pm and 1 to 5pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 12:30pm and 1:30 to 4pm.
