This 17th-century hôtel particulier (private mansion) organizes an outstanding modern art show. Better still, current visitors will be the first to see the latest exhibitions, as the museum reopened after lengthy renovations in 2018 with a blockbuster Courbet, Degas, and Cézanne exposition. The museum also houses a permanent collection, particularly strong on masterpieces (by Picasso, Dufy, de Staël, Ernst, and others) created during the first half of the 20th century.
