The 150-year-old Museum of Fine Arts is Marseille’s oldest exhibition venue. Its venue, the Palais Longchamp, is gloriously grand—the palace took 30 years to build and its high ceilings and marble floors still astound today. The museum reopened its permanent collection to the public in 2014, after an incredible 9 years of renovations. Exhibits range from 16th-century Italian works to 19th-century French masterpieces, including Rodin’s sculpture La Voix Intérieure (“The Inner Voice”).
