Soccer fans should make a beeline for Marseille’s recently-reopened (2016) Olympique de Marseille (OM) football stadium, home to one of France’s most popular soccer teams and a key site in European football. After more than 4 years of renovations, the modern Stade is now one the largest soccer grounds in France, with 67,000 seats. Which means it’s more than perfectly placed to host matches throughout the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympiad, as well as weekly games in France’s premier soccer league. Behind-the-scenes tours of the grounds and the stadium are also offered three times each week. See the Stade Vélodrome website for details.
