Marrakech-meets-Marseille at this Moorish inspired backstreet hotel. Styled by its former Moroccan owner, the 11 rooms are now presided over by a kindly French proprietor who remains a fountain of local knowledge. Breakfasts are a cornucopia of Arabian sweets, North African breads, and mint tea. From spring onwards, morning meals are served outdoors in the oasis-like garden. Rooms have a faded grandeur and less expensive ones overlook a bustling street. Family suites peek out over the garden and can comfortably sleep four.
