Thisis one of Lahaina’s great bed-and-breakfast deals. Tanna Swanson offers guests many extras at her renovated home, tucked away in a residential Lahaina neighborhood (please be respectful of neighbors). For starters, each of the five private rooms has a full-size Jacuzzi (seriously!), noiseless air-conditioning, and gorgeous stained-glass windows depicting reef fish, flowers, and other Hawaiian scenes. Guests also have access to the saltwater pool; large, fully stocked kitchen; and a 30-foot sundeck for sunbathing, stargazing, and whale-watching. Swanson’s home is 1 mile from downtown Lahaina and Kaanapali’s beaches. Tennis courts are nearby, and Wahikuli Wayside Park beach is about a block away. Note: Four of the rooms can accommodate a twin bed in addition to the queen, by request, but children must be at least 12 to stay here (because of the hot tub in the room). Full payment is due 60 days in advance.
