Breakfast, lunch, and the bar are the enduring attractions of this breezy restaurant in the Shops at Wailea. The largely Italian-driven dinner menu—eggplant Parmigiana, seafood linguine, ahi au poivre—isn’t disappointing, just rather pricey, although it does come with divine cheesy jalapeño pizza bread baked in-house. At breakfast, the lobster eggs Benedict ($25) is especially sumptuous, served on thick slices of grilled Italian bread; you can also order lobster in a three-egg omelet for the same price. Slightly less decadent is a healthful juice like the Green Destiny (cucumber, kale, celery, mint, watermelon, citrus, and ginger). For your French-press coffee, you have the choice of several Maui-grown beans from Kaanapali and Kipahulu. Lunchtime sandwiches—Maui beef hamburger on brioche, or the open-face ahi tuna melt—are solid choices, too. At the bar, a tropical martini with coconut vodka or a li hing mui rim pairs well with happy hour specials ($8–$10) such as ahi fish tacos or an island ceviche with monchong and avocado. Note: There’s also a Longhi’s (the original in this family-owned chain) in Lahaina, as well as on Oahu.
