Getting There

Bahamasair (tel. 800/222-4262 in the U.S.; www.bahamasair.com) flies in from Nassau on Wednesday and Friday at 9:15am; the trip takes approximately 2 1/2 hours.

Mail-boat service on the MV United Star leaves Nassau and heads for Acklins Island, Crooked Island, Fortune Island (Long Cay), and Mayaguana Island each week. Check the schedule and costs with the dock master at Nassau's Potter's Cay Dock (tel. 242/393-1064).
