Jabal ar Rahmah

It's here on the plain of Arafat that around 3 million Muslims congregate on the Day of Standing during the annual Hajj pilgrimage and atone for their sins, make pledges for their future, and pray for blessings from God. Muslims believe Adam and Eve were shown mercy and forgiven for their sins and reunited on earth in the Arafat plain. The mount is also believed to be the site of the Prophet Muhammad’s Farewell Sermon.
