Established in 2008, 3 Cordilleras was one of Medellín’s first microbreweries. As well as selling tastings of its six brews in the lively on-site bar, the brewery offers tours (in Spanish). Tours include a meander around the brewery, accompanied by an informative spiel on the beer-making process, rounded off by samples of Cordillera’s artisan beers served to a rock/dance music soundtrack; the best night to come is the last Thursday of every month, when there’s a live music performance. Tours, held Thursdays 5:30 to 9:00pm, include five beers (COP$21,000). On Fridays, brewery tours also include a music talent showcase from 6:30 to 10pm (COP$26,000). It’s a great way to spend an evening.
