Active Pursuits in Meersburg

Rock-strewn beaches lie west of the town center; here you can go swimming or just soak up the sun for free. But the amenities are better at the Beheiztes Freibad, Uferpromenade 9-11 (tel. 07532/4402850; www.meersburg-therme.de), a 5-minute walk east of the harbor. Here you can lie on the grass on a strip of sand adjacent to the lake, or immerse yourself in any of three outdoor swimming pools. A sauna is also on-site, plus refreshment stands and a small restaurant. Mondays are women-only. A day pass to the compound costs 19€ for an adult. Three hours cost 9€ for adults and 6.50€ for children. It's free for children 3 and under. Hours are daily 9am to 10pm.
