This little Condesa bar (its name translates as the "Golden Tooth") is known for its top quality (and highly varied) single malt whiskeys and relaxed atmosphere. Its collection of more than 30 whiskeys include common Scottish, Irish, and U.S. brands and some hard-to-find labels including 12-year-old Glenmorangie. Its "tasting menu" includes one-ounce samples of three 12-year-old single malt whiskeys for 300 pesos (about $23). Once considered a hangout for privileged Mexicans, the bar more recently has become a refuge for those seeking a quiet spot away from Condesa's louder bars and nightspots. The bar has Happy Hour specials on beer and a 20 percent discount on single malts Sun–Tues from 6–9pm. It shows NFL Monday Night Football and has jazz and blues music on Tuesdays.
