The latest megaclub to hit SoBe, by 2014 Story had rocketed into America’s top ten. It was where the Heat chose to celebrate their 2013 championship, and Story attracts names like Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, David Guetta, and Nicki Minaj. In the former Amnesia space in SoFi (south of Fifth St.), it was voted Miami’s best dance spot by New Times readers—and I have to say, the frenzied boom-boom between those big twisty columns and epilepsy-inducing light shows is indeed about as pure a distillation of techno-disco inferno as I’ve ever witnessed.
