Chief among Rhinebeck's attractions is the Old Rhinebeck Aerodome, a museum of antique airplanes with 30 annual air shows. Among the gems here are a 1909 Bleriot, which is the oldest regularly flying airplane in the Western Hemisphere; the Fokker DR-I Triplane, arguably the most famous fighter jet of WWI; and a replica of the Spirit of St. Louis. The Air Shows are a real hoot, with vintage fashion shows and a car parade preceding the show in the sky.
