The Spot Bar
Among the pantheon of dive bars in the Twin Cities, The Spot is close to the top of the heap. The less-than-nondescript wood-paneled exterior is perfect for a place of its ilk. Inside, there's a mix of curious travelers, regulars, folks from the neighborhood, and those who heard about the joint from a friend. You can play darts, listen to the jukebox, and try your luck on an Elvis-themed pinball machine. Day drinking is encouraged here (why not, right?) and every day The Spot puts a different three-digit number on the wall. If you can match those numbers to a bill in your possession, you get a drink for a dollar. Guests can also sit outside and smoke and drink on the patio. The bar does have a TV, but the best entertainment here is that which you find on the stool next to you.
