The Beaux-Arts Mons (Museum of Fine Arts) occupies a purpose-built gallery on a side street off Mons’ fine Grand-Place. As well as hosting concerts, the museum has a permanent collection of 19th- and 20th-century paintings and sculpture drawn from around Hainaut. Much more interesting to most visitors are the temporary exhibitions, which have focused on big names like Warhol and van Gogh.
