Getting There -- Almost two dozen trains depart from Bludenz every day for Schruns (trip time: 22 min.). Schruns is the last stop on this line, and several buses head into the nearby valleys from Schruns. For rail information, contact tel. 05/1717 (www.oebb.at).
About two buses per day depart from Bludenz's railway station and arrive at Schruns in around 20 minutes. From the railway station in Schruns, about a dozen buses per day make the 3-minute trip to Tschagguns's main square, Dorfplatz. If you are laden with luggage, you might want to take a taxi.
Schruns is 698km (434 miles) west of Vienna and 63km (39 miles) southeast of Bregenz. From Bregenz, drive southeast along Autobahn A14 until you reach Bludenz. At Bludenz, follow the MONTAFON signs and head up the valley until you reach Schruns.
Visitor Information -- The tourist office (tel. 05556/721660) is located at Postfach 145, in the village center of Schruns. Open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to noon and 4 to 6pm, and Sunday 10am to noon and 4 to 6pm.
