No, it is not right on the beach—more like 20 stories above it, on a bluff above the Hip Strip—but there is an elevator from this townhouse-style complex down to the entrance to Doctors Cave Beach, to which guests get a pass for free admission. These self-catering suites won’t win any design awards, but they are clean and comfortable (even if the A/C is only in the bedrooms). Each is really more of a simple efficiency apartment with bamboo furnishings, floral-print fabrics, a balcony or patio, and a fully equipped kitchen. (There’s a small commissary shop on-site for quick stocking.)
Some road noise does plague much of the hotel; the only one of the four buildings with somewhat quieter rooms is block “D.” Request a room on a high floor with a view of the sea to catch some trade-wind breezes on the balcony.
