This pair of fraternal twin B&Bs overlooks Montego Bay harbor from a side street that is quiet and peaceful yet just a ten-minute stroll from the restaurants and clubs of the Gloucester Avenue Hip Strip, Doctor’s Cave Beach, and the Aqua Sol Theme Park.

The Polkerris is a little classical Jamaican oasis of wide verandas, terraced gardens with a waterfall fountain, flowering vines and hanging potted plants everywhere, and hands-on hospitality from owners Jeremy and Clarissa Bennett. The four tile-floored bedrooms are done with floral prints, handsome wood furnishings, and poster beds, and feature sea views over the terracotta roof tiles of the Bahia de la Vista directly across the street.

Bahia de la Vista, run with equally excellent level of friendly service by Peter and Elaine Scudamore, is more Spanish in style, with tropical-colored bedrooms of patterned wallpapers and flowery fabrics overlooking the terrace pool and, beyond, the busy shipping lanes leading into Montego Bay. Breakfast can be either typical Jamaican or International.
