There is no pool, no beach—though they’ll give you a lift to nearby Doctor’s Cave, and will pick you up at the airport for free, if the management happens to be around when you need the ride—and no amenities to speak of aside from cable TV, a fridge, and a microwave in the small but comfortable rooms. But for those who aren’t in Jamaica for a beach resort vacation—or just need a cheap place to crash right near the airport for a night—the Ridgeway is a quiet, relaxed, incredibly inexpensive place, now in its second generation of Tatem family ownership. (Colin is the son of Brenda, who opened the guesthouse more than 20 years ago.)
