Indian and Jamaican spices complement each other well, so when you are in the mood to take a break from the jerk—or just want a load of vegetarian options—head to this elegant little Indian restaurant in the Whitter Village shopping center across from the Riu Montego Bay resort.
Slip behind the canopy curtains onto a cushioned bench at your table to enjoy tandoor chicken, mutton vindaloo, palak paneer, fish tikka, dhal makhni, or just about any other Indian specialty you can think of. There’s also a short Indo-Chinese section to the menu if your tastes run more to the Szechuan spices.
A few notes on the prices: To be fair, nearly all main courses ring in at $10 to $17; it’s only some specials and the lobster that spike as high as $30. There’s also one of those lovely Indian lunch specials that costs just J$1,000 ($9) from noon to 4pm every day but Sunday.
