Spilling out on the terrace and overlooking the rainforest canopy, this restaurant inside Hotel Belmar is where locals come for a good meal. Staffed with a group of international restaurant and bar veterans and utilizing the hotel’s organic farm, the menu here is one of Monteverde’s most inventive and changes often. Standbys include housemade pasta with pesto made from herbs from the garden and pork ribs in tamarind sauce, while breakfast is equally as impressive, with Caribbean-style French toast and other goodies. Additionally, they have a tap room and beer garden attached to their own microbrewery on the lower end of the property overlooking a pond. Open Friday to Sunday from 1pm to 9pm, it has a food menu with artisan sausages and tacos, plus various seasonal beers on tap.
