Located in a busy, shaded square where restaurant tables spill out into the surrounding terraces, it’s difficult to know which to choose. Go for Le Grillardin where chef Mickaël Diore makes the most of local seasonal ingredients, changing his dishes daily. Grilled meat and fish are specialties here and free-range chicken and filet de boeuf are all on offer. Unusually for France, a note on the menu encourages you to ask for a doggy bag. The restaurant has a bistro decor of wooden tables and chairs but harks back to the past with its stone walls and wood ceiling. Sit on the heated terrace until late on a summer evening.
