There are four things to like about this easygoing hotel: it's across the street from a pretty part of Parc de La Fontaine, it's along some central bike path arteries (a feature used by many guests), it's within walking distance to Plateau dining and shops, and it has a friendly, hostel-like atmosphere even though the rooms are private. Guests can raid the kitchen for a free afternoon snack or buy beer or wine from the front desk and head to the third floor terrace, which overlooks the park. Families are often and warmly accommodated. The breakfast buffet (pastries, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, local cheeses, and cold cuts), always included, is one reason guests return to this auberge time and time again.
