From late May to late September on sunny Sunday afternoons and into the evenings, it’s a dance party at Parc Jean-Drapeau. Hipster kids, families with young children, and dancing queens who just didn’t get enough on Saturday night gather and shake it outdoors under the Alexander Calder sculpture, Man and His World, located on the Belvedere on the north shore of Ile Sainte-Hélène, facing the river. There’s usually a DJ and, sometimes, live acts. Music starts early afternoon and runs until about 8pm (sometimes as late as 10:30pm). To find the outdoor locale, the website suggests taking the Métro and just following the rhythms when you exit.
