Planning a trip to Morges
The Morges Tourist Information Office, on rue du Château (tel. 021/801-32-33; www.morges.ch), is open April to September Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 9:30am to 5pm. From October to March, hours are Monday to Friday 9:30am to 4:30pm and 1:30 to 5:30pm.
Getting There
Trains run almost every 30 minutes throughout the day between Geneva and Lausanne, and most of them stop at Morges. For rail information, call tel. 0900/300-300 or visit www.sbb.ch.
Bus no. 57 runs from Lausanne to Morges. Call tel. 0900/300-300 for bus schedules. One-way transit costs 26F from Geneva and 3.50F from Lausanne.
If you're driving from Lausanne, head west toward Geneva along N1.
In addition, between late May and September, several lake steamers stop at Morges every day on their way between Geneva and Lausanne; depending on their schedule, some require a boat change at Yvoire.
