National Park Inn

Open year-round, this historic alpine lodge on the forested slopes near Longmire dates from 1920 and features a full service dining room and general store, both open to the public (there are also guestrooms). Don’t expect anything fussy or fancy here; this is a family-friendly, laid-back dining room with a menu that tries to please everyone, featuring everything from sauteed brook trout and old-fashioned pot roast to mac and cheese. End your meal with warm blackberry cobbler topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You’ll enjoy swell views of Mount Rainier from the veranda.
