A single-nave church with a soaring barrel-vaulted ceiling completed in 1597, St. Michael’s is the largest Renaissance church north of the Alps. Bronze statues of Bavarian kings decorate the Baroque façade, while the elaborate stucco-work of the interior represents episodes from the life of Jesus.
