This stylish but casual and unpretentious two-story bisto-restaurant-bar located south of the train station in the Glockenbach neighborhood serves great breakfasts until noon during the week, and until 5pm on weekends. At lunch and dinner, things switch up to imaginative fusion cuisine, served for a very reasonable price. A short but well-focused menu changes daily for lunch and weekly (and seasonally) for dinner. You might find curried chicken breast; Knödel with mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and egg; pasta with calf’s-liver Bolognese; or ocean perch fillet with potato salad. This is an excellent spot to enjoy a good, inexpensive lunch, a classy cocktail, or a delicious dessert. It stays open until roughly midnight or later and morphs into more of a bar atmosphere after the kitchen closes.
