Located right near the beach, this resort is much more modest than the other gargantuan properties that march up and down the waterfront in Myrtle Beach. The property has three buildings, the main Mystic Sea Building, the Courtyard Condos (about 150 yards from the beach), and the most affordable location, the Charleston House, where rooms can start at $39 a night. (The rooms in the latter structure are fairly small, which explains the very reasonable price.) The nicest rooms are the two-bedroom units in the Courtyard Condo complex, which is right across the street from the Mystic Sea Building. These include kitchens and a pullout sofa, and some have outside decks. Again, there aren't many frills at this "resort," but the beach is right outside and there is a modest pool. One nice perk: If you rent a room for a week you receive a 10 percent discount.
