The abolitionist Lucretia Mott was born in this 1831 house, and today it is one of the island’s best moderately priced inns. Rooms are fresh and cheerful, not overly frilly. None are alike, and unfortunately some are small or awkwardly configured. A very good restaurant is in the basement.
