A leader among Nantucket’s restaurants for 25 years, American Seasons emphasizes regional cuisines. Faroe Island salmon with smoked potato and a red onion crème fraîche shares space on the menu with buttermilk chicken with yellow-eye peas and pimento fried biscuits, smoked chicken hocks, and giblet gravy. The candlelit dining room is decorated with old-fashioned Americana and pleasing agrarian-themed murals. Seating in the summer is outside on a trellis-covered patio.
