Planning a trip to Naples, Fla
Getting to Naples
Most visitors arrive at the Southwest Florida International Airport, off Daniels Parkway, east of I-75. It is 35 miles north of Naples in Fort Myers. All the major car rental companies have outlets there. Naples Transportation & Tours (tel. 239/230-3272) offers an airport-to-hotel shuttle service for around $35 per person from Southwest Florida International Airport to greater-Naples-area hotels. Vans, taxis and ride share services are available at a booth across the street from baggage claim. Rates range from $40 to $55 to Fort Myers Beach, from $50 to Naples, $35 to Estero and from $45 to Sanibel and Captiva.
It’s also possible to fly to Naples Municipal Airport, 160 Aviation Dr. North on North Road off Airport-Pulling Road (tel. 239/643-6875), though fares will likely be higher. Taxis await all flights outside the small terminal building. Avis, Hertz, and National have rental car booths at the airport. Enterprise is located in town.
