A thriving immigrant community calls Nashville home, and an impressive number of ethnic businesses have popped up on Nolensville Road alongside the used-car lots and payday lenders. The Hispanic community is especially well represented here, with scores of restaurants and taco trucks. One of the best is Guantanamera, a Cuban restaurant that also has Peruvian, Colombian, and Venezualan dishes. The offerings may appear exotic, but servers are happy to help guide your decision. If you can wait the 45 minutes it takes to prepare, consider the paella valenciana, an impressive rice and seafood dish. Faster to arrive and almost as delicious are the empanadas. Round off your meal with Cuban coffee, served strong and sweet. Guantanermera's Sunday morning Cuban brunch has quite a following.
