Built by husband-and-wife American expats Mitch and Suzy Pilcer, these country-style cottages are set in a garden and contain a bedroom, a small living room with fireplace, a sofa bed, a Jacuzzi, and a fully equipped kitchenette that is kosher halavi (nonmeat only). A loft area, reached by ladder adds more sleeping space. Along with the smaller cottages is a recreated crusader castle that can hold 18 guests (it's mostly used by large groups). The nonchemical, freshwater swimming pool is a definite plus, especially in summer. The management offers good touring advice (Mitch is a tour guide); and wonderful breakfasts (kosher) can be ordered, left each morning beside your door. You need a rental car in order to consider a stay here. Nearby are the ruins of Zippori, country walks, and even donkey rides for children.
