This 120-year-old home beside the Maitai River has been renovated to pay homage to the past, but still provide all the modern conveniences. Rooms are large, and decorated with homey floral wallpapers, heavy drapes, and wicker furnishings. The breakfast room, a tiny museum to bric-a-brac is a delightful place to start the day (and the feasts that are served for breakfast certainly add to its appeal). A relatively new two-story cottage, overlooking a stream in the garden, is now also open to guests and offers great value for families or two couples traveling together.
