Not a museum you can visit, per se, but if you’re curious about the eye-popping outdoor sculptures along Poydras St., this is the organization responsible. Born in the wake of Hurricane Katrina to brighten a blighted landscape and spotlight the city’s visual artists, it's since placed 75 artworks in public places, including the moving Eleven on Elysian Fields at Dauphine, artist Jason Kimes’ tribute to the 11 men who died when BP’s Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf in 2010.
